According to the founders, Planted differs from conventional meat alternatives primarily in two aspects: The specially developed production process ensures a unique fiber structure that many other substitute products lack. In addition, Planted relies exclusively on select plant-based and 100% natural ingredients: Pea protein, pea fiber, canola oil and water, and vitamin B12. All of them. As the startup assures, the ingredients come exclusively from Europe.

"Our products are 100 percent vegan and, of course, GMO-free. In addition, we use neither flavourings or preservatives nor other additives, soy, gluten or lactose. In this way, we succeed in using technology to banish the animal from the plate, but without having to leave aside favourite dishes," says Lukas Böni, co-founder of Planted.
